Willie Mae Johnson

Willie Mae (Rogers) Johnson, 92, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2016 in the Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Boyd officiating. Interment will be in the Henderson Harris Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Wednesday. Willie Mae was born April 9, 1924 in Clarendon, Texas the daughter of Paul and Gertrude (Carter) Rogers. She graduated from the Douglas High School and later attended Beauty College. She and Thurman Johnson were married at Denton, Texas and he preceded her in death in 1996. She owned and operated the Rogers Beauty Shop on Cypress for 45 years. She was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church serving many years as the president of the Antioch Missionary Society. She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching TV and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by parents and many other relatives. Survivors include her son Frank Marshal and his wife Sherline of Saint Paul, Minnesota; grandchildren Frank, Kyla and Karl; great grandchildren Chardia, Jaydah, Frankee, Leah, Lauren, Lourdes, Jalen, Dillon and Baron; great great grandchild Iris, two first cousins Carl Carter and Velma Carter James.
