Wayne Leon Nichols

Wayne Leon Nichols, 84, of Marlow passed from this life Thursday, February 18, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday in the Glory Bound Church in Marlow. Interment will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Wayne was born April 21, 1936 in Foster, Oklahoma the son of Othur Leonard "Tommy" and Fannie (Holt) Nichols. He and Jewel Marie Grice were married in Lawton, Oklahoma on August 10, 1956 and she preceded him in death on December 8, 2018. He was a heavy equipment operator, welder, carpenter and oilfield driller. He enjoyed carpentry, coon hunting, raising coon hounds and played softball for the "Marlow Merchants" as a pitcher. He was also preceded in death by his parents, siblings Beulah, Eugene, Joyce, Betty, Johnnie Kay and Carroll, daughter Janice Green and granddaughter Nicole Nichols. Survivors include his sons Bobby and Beth Nichols of Duncan, Oklahoma and Tony and Stefani Nichols of Geary, Oklahoma; grandchildren Lindsey Elaine Brown and husband Micah of Fredericksburg, Texas; Clay Nichols and wife Jess of Duncan, Oklahoma; Ryan Anthony Nichols of Hominy, Oklahoma and Nathan Daniel Nichols of Moore, Oklahoma; great grandchildren Kylan, Shylah, Zoe and Isaiah; son-in-law Mike Green of Duncan and brother Mickey Nichols of Phoenix, Arizona. Pallbearers will be Gary Nichols, Mike Shea, Clay Nichols, Nathan Nichols, Micah Brown, David Nichols and Ryan Nichols. Online condolences may be made at www.bailespolk.com
