Oak Duncan, Ok 73533 (580) 255-5252 Viola Yvonne Strealy, 73, of Comanche was a veteran soldier of the cross who followed her Master faithfully, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Yvonne was born July 31, 1936, the daughter of Les and Viola Impson Smith. She was a counselor with Teen Challenge and co-director of New Sunrise Ministries. She also attained her childhood dream of becoming an LPN and working at Presbyterian Hospital in OKC for many years, later a teachers assistant with Plato and Comanche Schools. Knowing her calling, she regularly engaged in bearing witness to her Lord at all times. She was a woman of great courage who faced every problem with confidence and in complete reliance upon her ever-present Lord. She knew how to encourage others in distress with the comfort she herself received from Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Alton Wayne and a daughter Retha Jean. Survivors include her daughter Deborah Hunter and her husband John of Comanche; a son Toby Lewis and his wife Amy of Duncan; three grandchildren J.C. Hunter and his wife Kacie of Comanche, Brodie Lewis, Brieann Lewis and Desirae Leeann all of Duncan; a great granddaughter Kojii Hunter of Comanche; two brothers Sonny Smith and his wife Pal of Midland, Texas and Alton Smith and his wife Lou of Meridian and a sister Rita Hice of Comanche.
