Sterling Wayne Harper, 69, of Duncan passed away Thursday, June 13th, 2013 at his home in Duncan. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday in the Corner Stone Assembly of God Church with Reverend Andy Jenkins officiating. Interment services will be held at 3:00 PM in the Sentinel Cemetery at Sentinel, Oklahoma under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 on Friday. Wayne was born September 11, 1943 at Antioch, California the son of Sterling A. and Goldie Marie (Giffin) Harper .He and Paula Ryan were married January 12, 1980 at Oklahoma City. owner of W.P. Construction in Bentonville, Arkansas retiring in 2006. He also worked as a computer manager for Star Manufacturing in Oklahoma City and J. B. Hunt Trucking of Springdale, Arkansas. Was active in the MAPS (Mission America Placement Service) building churches, loved to fish, Antique and Build. Attended the Corner Stone Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Geraldine Harper Pyatt. Survivors include his wife Paula Ryan Harper of the home; a daughter Suzanne Doss and her husband CJ of Coweta, Oklahoma; Son Gerald D. Harper of Arlington, Texas; step-daughter Johna K. Walker and her husband Steve of Waynesville, Missouri; four granddaughters Kendra Eddy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Samantha Dempewolf of Coweta, Oklahoma, Morgan Walker of Waynesville, Missouri and Stephenie Walker of Waynesville, Missouri; two grandsons Dylan W. Harper and Bradyn T. Harper both of Arlington, Texas; great grandsons Kacey Eddy and Corbin Eddy both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a daughter-in-law Cindy Harper of Arlington, Texas; brother Dwight Harper and his wife Jackie of Red Oak, Texas; a sister Patsy James and her husband Eddy of Anchorage, Alaska; three brother-in-laws Jim Shults and his wife Kay of Temple, Oklahoma, Dewey Ryan and his wife Debbie of Austin, Texas and Dr. Harry Ryan and his wife Darla of McKinney, Texas and Many special cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Harold Deshazo, Mike Wolf, Jim Shults, Walker Ryan, Dr. Harry Ryan, Dewey Ryan. Online condolences may be made at www.bailespolk.com
