Shirley Ann Henderson

Shirley Ann Henderson, 75, of Duncan, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, December 25, 2011 at her home in Bartlesville, Ok. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the Parkview Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Gillispie and Reverend Rick Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 5-7 PM on Tuesday. Shirley was born July 14, 1936, in Alma, Oklahoma, to Luther and Ida Eason. She attended school at Fox and graduated from Fox High School in 1956. She married Morris Henderson on May 26, 1956 at Durant, Oklahoma and they moved to Duncan in 1960 where she owned and operated Shirley's Beauty Shop out of her home. She had been a member of the Parkview Baptist Church since 1995. Prior to that she was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was the church pianist there for 25 years. Church was an important part of Shirley"s life and she loved her church family. Shirley blessed the lives of those who knew her. She will be missed and loved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ida Eason. Shirley is survived by her husband Morris Henderson of the home, daughters, Cindy Jackson and her husband Rick of Ochelata, Oklahoma, Jana Bowers and her husband Jon of Duncan, Oklahoma, grandchildren Christy Childers, Tiffany Fitzsimmons, Alex Bowers, and Emma Bowers, Venessa Jackson, Billy Jackson 3 great grandchildren, one sister, Sybil Craft, one Sister-in-law Coy Blanton, one brother-in-law Johnny Gardner, 2 nephews and 2 nieces. Pallbearers will be Darrell Tivis, Kenneth Tivis, Freddie Harogan, Jon Bowers, Tim Fitzsimmons and Tim Blanton. Online condolences may be made at www.bailespolk.com
