Roy Daniel Hyde

Roy Daniel Hyde, 66, of Duncan passed away Sunday, November 5th, 2017at his home after a long battle with heart illness.

Services will be 10:30 AM Thursday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home with Ronnie Bernard officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday.

Roy was born July 21, 1951 in Duncan, Oklahoma the son of Frank and Dosha (Elliott) Hyde Clampitt Jones. He and Carmen Morris were married June 7, 1969 at Wichita Falls, Texas. Roy worked as a mechanic for Halliburton until his retirement. After his retirement he could generally be found at Mid Continent Lift tinkering with the forklifts. He was a member of the Duncan Baptist Rescue Mission, enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Hyde, sisters Faye Wells, Mary Hambrick, Charlene Morris Clampitt and Edna Cantwell and nephew Chad Clampitt.

Survivors include his wife Carmen Hyde of the home; Daughters Teresa Hyde and Paula Hyde-Duke and husband Rick; son Ricky Hyde and wife Melissa all of Duncan; grandchildren Ashley Hyde-Duke, Haley Duke, Ruff Duke and Justin Hall; brothers Charley Clampitt and wife Kaye of Cumby, Texas and Mark "Joe" Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Lena Packman of Round Rock, Texas, Linda Hill and husband Steve of Duncan and Claudetta McEntire and husband J.D. of Belton, Texas; brother-in-law Rex Morris and wife Maggie of Maysville, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Gilley, Chuck Clampitt, Kenny Hill, Robbie Hyde, Michael Hambrick and Kevin Ensminger.

Honorary pallbearers will be Haskell McFatridge and Randall Allen
