Ronald Shipman

Ronald Gene "Ronnie" Shipman, 68, of Marlow passed from this life Tuesday Augus 8, 2023 in the Duncan Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Freedom Biker Church with Reverend Billy Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday from 9 AM to 8 PM and Monday from 9 AM to 8 PM.

Ronnie was born April 2, 1955 in Duncan, Oklahoma the son of Donald and Barbara Jean (Dewitt) Shipman. He graduated from the Comanche High School. He and Sherry Poplin were married in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 28, 2013. He was the owner of the Marlow Food Mart for over 18 years. He enjoyed restoring old cars and motorcycles, driving his cars and riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife Sherry Shipman of the home in Marlow, Oklahoma; his father Don Shipman of Comanche, Oklahoma; sons Ronald Dean Shipman of Duncan, Oklahoma and Jeraed Shipman of Ada, Oklahoma; brother Junior Shipman and wife Tammy of Empire, Oklahoma; sister Kimberly Loughridge of Comanche, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Jimmy Poplin and wife Shelly of Marlow, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cole McMillen, Easton Poplin, Keaton Poplin, Tony Brittain, Tanner Brittain and Jordan McLemore.
