Robert Joseph Pasillas

Robert Joseph Pasillas, 47, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 24th, 2011 in Velma, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Faith Temple Church in Duncan, OK with Reverend Billy Clayburn and Reverend David Marrow officating. An interment service will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive immediate family at the funeral home for visitation from 6 - 8 PM on Friday. Robert was born November 3, 1963 in Gilroy, California. He was the son of Gloria Balboa Pasillas and the late Leon Henry and Gloria Balboa Pasillas. He and Kelly Wright were married in Duncan, Oklahoma on July 1, 1983. He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church, volunteer coach for the Marauders Wrestling Team, a golden gloves boxer in Reno, Nevada, loved sports and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Joanne Pasillas, mother-in-law Ollie Jo Wright. Survivors include his wife Kelly of the home; a son Robert Pasillas II of Duncan, two daughters Courtney Cartwright and her husband Matt of Edmond, Danielle Drozd and her husband David of Ft. Polk, Louisiana, grandchildren Skylar, Bryson and Landon; five brothers Steve, Toby, Charlie and James Pasillas all of California and Lee Pasillas of Colorado; two sisters Mary Ann Thacker and Roseann Howell both of California and his Mother Gloria Pasillas Bjorlin of California.
