Robert Davis

Robert Wayne Davis, 48, of Comanche, Oklahoma passed from this life Friday, September 29, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family and friends after a long battle with cancer.

Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Ray of Hope Church with Reverend Matt Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Robert was born October 30, 1974, in Duncan, Oklahoma, the son of Jimmie and Robbie (Brown) Davis. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1993. While a lifelong resident of Comanche, he spent many years working in the oilfield traveling throughout the United States and other parts of the world. He was a hard worker, great friend, proud dad to his daughter Whitney and grandfather to his grandson, Ripp. He was a fighter, his courageous battle with cancer inspired many. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, going to the horse races, mudding at the Red River and spending time with family and friends. He attended the ray of Hope Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Krystal (Davis) Lane.

Survivors include his daughter Whitney Davis and Colton Petty of Comanche, Oklahoma; grandson Ripp Dutton Chase Petty of Comanche, Oklahoma; close friends Cheryl McKenzie and Archie Hare as well as other family members and numerous friends.

Pallbearers will be Archie Hare, Chad Smith, Corey Thacker, Ron Rhone, Raleigh Stone and Randy Olheiser.
