Richard Ross Fyfe

Richard Ross Fyfe, 70, of Duncan passed away Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 at his home in Duncan. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the All Saints Episcopal Church with Reverend Anita Slovak officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Richard was born on November 19, 1941in Binghamton, New York the son of Norman Stewart and Ruth Virginia Ross Fyfe. He graduated from the Chenanga Valley High School in Binghamton, New York in 1959 and received a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972. He and Marlis Edith Nolte were married in Binghamton, New York on March 19, 1966. He was a faithful member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Duncan, volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America and loved Music. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Marlis of the home in Duncan; two sons Peter Fyfe and his wife Shannon of Houston, Texas and Stewart Fyfe of Madison, Wisconsin; a brother Roy Fyfe and his wife Joan of Mansfield, Texas and a granddaughter Grace Elizabeth Fyfe of Houston, Texas. Memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to the All Saints Episcopal Church Music Fund, 809 West Cedar, Duncan, Oklahoma 73533 or a charity of your choice.
