Raymond Dewayne Hamblin, 78, of Duncan passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Duncan Regional Hospital.
Services will be 10:00 AM Friday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Matt Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. Military honors will be conferred by the Fort Sill Military Honors Team with services escorted by the Patriot Guard.
Raymond was born August 6, 1939 at Fredricktown, Missouri the son of Edgar Levi and Margaret Adeline (Settles) Hamblin. He retired from the United States Army in 1977 after serving 3 tours in Vietnam, many years in Germany and Italy. He and Bruna Marchi were married April 2, 1959 in Verona, Italy. He worked many years for Sesco Electric, loved traveling, camping at the lake, hunting and watching the children fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Mark Hamblin, brother Bob Hamblin and a sister Colleen Martin.
Survivors include his wife Bruna of the home in Duncan; his son Michael Hamblin and his wife Natalie of Lawton; his daughter Carolyn Mitchell and her husband Bob of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother Edgar Hamblin, Jr. and his wife Berniece of Fredricktown, Missouri; sisters Thelma Lowery and husband Win of Ferguson, Missouri and Marilyn Stroup and her husband David of Fredricktown, Missouri; three grandchildren Marc Buben of Stillwater, Chad Smith and wife Kristi of Lawton and Christie Timpson of Lawton; six great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
