Patricia Ann Walker, 75, of Duncan went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Thursday, December 14, 2017. David Melvin Walker, 77, of Duncan also went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 20, 2017. They celebrated 58 years together and not even death could keep them apart. Both passed peacefully at Duncan Country Club Care and Rehab. Patricia was born October 3, 1942 in Montgomery, Alabama the daughter of James Henry and Helen Bernice (Duncan) Moore. She and David Melvin Walker were married in Birmingham, Alabama on February 14, 1959. She enjoyed watching crime shows on TV, listening to “oldies” music, was a member of the Western Heights Baptist Church, and most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She spent many years working as an LVN taking care of others and then became a homemaker. She never missed an opporuntity to talk about her travels and reminisce about her time in California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Sharon Lebert of California and Tiney Moore of California, her brother James Floyd Moore of Alabama. David was born October 24, 1940 in Birmingham, Alabama the son of Eugene Walker and Mary Alma (Garner) Walker. He enjoyed watching Westerns and the Andy Griffith Show. He loved to cook BBQ and loved fishing. He spent many years working as a flight scheduler for United Airlines at LAX. He later became a collector and finally a manager with Spiller Furniture Company in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Columbus, Mississippi. He loved to talk to people and share stories of airplanes and his travels. He loved to cook and eat and most important he loved his kids and grandkids. He was a member at Western Heights Baptist Church in Duncan Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Catherine W. Baker and her husband Leo Baker. They are survived by their son Greg Walker and his wife Leigh of Daphne, Alabama; their daughter Melissa Channel and her husband Doug of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Harper, Emory, and Murray Walker all of Daphne, Alabama. Jena Claire and Connor Channel both of Duncan as well as her sisters Wanda Sealey of California and Doris Dandridge of Alabama. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
