Nellie Fern Wilson

Nellie Fern (Files) Wilson, 95, of Duncan passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the Duncan Regional Hospital.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the Bethesda Church of God with Reverend Harold Metheny officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday.

Fern was born December 31, 1921 at Velma, Oklahoma the daughter of David Abner and Addie Parilee (Smith) Files. She and Lewis Woodrow "Woody" Wilson were married in Walters, Oklahoma on September 25, 1938 and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2000. She was member the Bethesda Church of God. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, four sisters, granddaughter Rhonda Cook and infant granddaughter Stacy Wilson.

Survivors include her son Lyn Wilson and his wife Pat of Duncan; daughter Reba and her husband Paul Hickman of Duncan, Oklahoma; granddaughters Gina Brendahl and husband Doug, Paula Morris and husband Claud, Renita Neeld, Jana Shuttlesworth and husband Kurt all of Duncan and Jennifer Breilein and husband Lance of Bakersfield, California; five step grandchildren; great grandchildren Brant Hackler, Blaise Hackler, Keeley Moynihan, Rylan England, Jayme Bennett, Jessica Clinkenbeard, Delaney Breilein, Mackenzie Cook, Zane Morris and Logan Morris and 10 great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Gertie Long of Duncan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons Kent Cook, Doug Brendahl, Claud Morris, Rylan England, Brant Hackler and Blaise Hackler, Kurt Shuttlesworth, Zane Morris and Logan Morris.
