Myrna Jean Files

Myrna Jean (Ellis) Files, 79, joined the love of her life in the

arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 6th 2023, in Duncan, Oklahoma. Services will be held at the Velma Assembly God in Velma Ok. on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Travis Stewart and Reverend Steven Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at the New Velma Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Myrna was born September 22, 1943 in Duncan, Oklahoma; daughter of Arthur Jack Ellis and Billye Hendricks. She graduated from Velma High School in 1961. She and Harley Files were married June 16, 1961 in the Velma Assembly of God Church in Velma, Oklahoma.

Myrna was a stay at home mom before she started working outside the home at various secretarial jobs eventually running her own successful dress shop in Velma. She was a faithful member of the Velma Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Harley Files, parents Arthur Jack Ellis and Billye Hendrix, sister Jackie Downey and husband Connie.

Survivors include sons Ricky Files and his wife Brenda, Todd Files and his wife Melanie; grandchildren Harlen Tyler Files and wife MacKenzie, Christian Files and wife Mallory, Audrey Files, Laura Guthrie and husband Nic, and Melissa Gonzalez and husband Ozzie; great grandchildren Grayson Files, Lucille Files, Bryce Guthrie, Blaire Guthrie, Jusin Gonzalez, KiKi Gonzalez, Kell Gonzalez, Sophia Gonzalez and Kruz Gonzalez; sister Jaydena Adcox and husband Mike and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mike Adcox, Alan Roberts, H.Tyler Files, Christian Files, Jimmy Wild, John Wild, Jay Head.
