Marlis Edith Fyfe April 14, 1943 - March 2, 2014 Marlis Edith Renate Karin Jutta (Nolte) Fyfe, 70, of Duncan passed away Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 in the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, OK. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the All Saints" Episcopal Church, Duncan, OK, where her ashes will be interned. Marlis was born April 14, 1943 in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Peter H. and Marianne J. (von Brachel) Nolte. She met her husband Richard Ross Fyfe in New York City in 1965, when she came to the United States for a year-long visit. They were married at Binghamton, New York on March 19, 1966. She was a member of the All Saints" Episcopal Church, loved to work in the garden, both at home and at work, and was an avid collector. She loved to spoil her granddaughter, and was deeply devoted to her many friends across the country and the world. She spent much of her life spreading kindness and helping others. She was extremely proud of gaining her US citizenship in 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 22, 2012, as well as by her parents and her twin sister Monika. She is survived by son Peter A. Fyfe and his wife Shannon of Houston, Texas, and daughter Kaitlin S. Fyfe of Madison, Wisconsin; a granddaughter Grace E. Fyfe of Houston, Texas; a brother Manfred Nolte of Neubeuern, Germany and a sister Marion Pophusen of Bremen, Germany. Memorial donations may be made in Marlis" name to: All Saints" Episcopal Church, 809 West Cedar, Duncan, OK 73533. Donations will go to the church"s music fund, at Marlis" request.
