Lydia (Ortega) Rodarte, 96, of Duncan passed away Sunday, May 19th, 2019 in the Country Club Care Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Marlow Cemetery.
Lydia was born June 12, 1922 at Denver, Colorado the daughter of Maxmillion and Carmelia Ortega. She and Joe M. Rodarte were married at Yuma, Arizona on February 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1996. She enjoyed making tortillas, embroidering, camping with her family, watching soap operas and raising seven children. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two son Ronnie and Charles Rodarte, her daughter Lydia Vasquez and numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three sons Alex M. Rodarte and his wife Silvia of Carmarillo, California, Larry J. Rodarte and wife Pauline of San Maria, California and Roy W. Rodarte and Victoria of Elk Grove, California; her daughter Dolores R. Bernal and husband David of Duncan, Oklahoma; her brother Charley Ortega; Sisters Rosie Maza and Stella Flores and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Sanders, David Sanders, Michael Sanders, Nick Cantor, Brad Cotter and Dakota Capass.
