Lois Arlene Thomas, 79, of Garland, Texas a former long time Duncan resident passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at Garland, Texas. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday in the First Baptist Church Chapel. Lois was born in small farm house outside of Wyandotte, Oklahoma the daughter of Clyde and Della Watts. Lois grew up with four brothers and one sister and graduated from Wyandotte High School. She worked for Milnot Milk Company in Seneca, Missouri and married Charles Thomas in 1958. They had three sons John, Donald, and James and later settled in Duncan, Oklahoma where she worked as a pastor's secretary and retired from Empire Public Schools where she was the superintendents secretary. Lois enjoyed her retirement years spending time with her grandchildren, being active in church groups and quilting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Gary Watts. Survivors include three sons John Thomas and his wife Judi of Mesquite, Texas, Don Thomas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and James Thomas of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren Dante Thomas, Claire Thomas, James Thomas, Anna Hamilton and her husband Roger, Audrey Thomas of Wichita Kansas and Zoee Thomas; great grandchildren Lucas and Elizabeth; brothers Bob Watts, Larry Watts and Leonard Watts and sister Joyce Spitler.
