Lloyd Ray Tipton, 76, of Duncan passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 in the Oklahoma Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be 11:00 Am Thursday in the Duncan Cemetery with Reverend Marvin Phillips and Reverend Bill Brewer, Sr. officiating. Interment is under the direction of the Bailes - Polk Funeral Home. Military honors will be conferred by the Stephens County Combined Honors Team and escort provided by the Patriot Guard. The Family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6- 8 PM on Wednesday. Lloyd was born October 1, 1935 at Marietta, Oklahoma the son of Leo Edward and Louise Lavonia (Mitchell) Tipton. He and Alice Joan Tipton were married at Wichita Falls and she preceded him in death on January 3, 2003. Later he and Connie Hatfield were married at Duncan, Oklahoma on October 1, 2006. He worked as a carpenter and painter, loved to collect junk, go to flea markets, camping, fishing and making jokes. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Connie of the home in Duncan; two sons Fritz G. Tipton of Waurika, Oklahoma and Ronald Tipton of Duncan; three daughters Carolyn Hall of Marietta, Oklahoma, Janet Golladay of Iowa Park, Texas and Janita Morris of Marietta, Oklahoma; two sisters Alma Bell of Kinder, Louisiana and Anita Phillips of Polkville, Mississippi; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Corey Speer, Joey Speer, Jessie Speer, Adam Golladay, Adam Morris and Christopher Steward. Online condolences maybe made at www.bailespolk.com
