Leta Mae Caldwell

July 20, 1923 — January 17, 2010

Leta Mae Caldwell, 86, of Duncan passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday in the New Hope Baptist Church West with Reverend Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday. Leta was born July 20, 1923 at Mountain View, Oklahoma the daughter of Raymond Eber and Willie Belle Graham Clark. She graduated from the Duncan High School. She worked as a Bookkeeper for the Duncan Construction Company and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church West. She enjoyed reading, playing cards but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son Jim Caldwell and his wife Retha of Duncan; three grandsons Jim Caldwell , Jr. and his wife Carrie of Duncan, Donnie Caldwell and his wife Milllie of Lubbock, Texas and David Caldwell and his wife Irma of Long Beach, California; three granddaughters Catharine Ernhart and her husband Rodney of Deming, New Mexico and Callie and Crista McDannald both of Duncan; a brother Ray Clark, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters June Franks and her husband Lewis of Oklahoma City and Sue Childress and her husband Arnold of Louisville, Kentucky; ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
