Leslie Roscoe Pennington Jr.

L.R. Pennington, Jr., 78, of Duncan passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his home in Duncan. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2013in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. All flowers may be delivered to the funeral home by Friday, March 22, 2013. L.R. was born February 5, 1935 the son of Leslie Roscoe Pennington, Sr. and Retta Adair. He graduated from the Duncan High School in 1955. He coached wrestling and football for the Duncan School System and was the owner of the R Sporting Goods in Duncan. He loved to fish, hunt, play golf and loved the OU Sooner. Survivors include two daughters Lisa King of Watauga, Texas and Cynthia Ranney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister Charlotte Young of Marlow and seven grandchildren Stephen Ranney, Krystal Black, Alexa Ranney, Jessica Wood, Gabriel King, Adeline Saafi and Alexander King and fourteen great grandchildren.
