Lawrence Denny

Lawrence "Hump" Denney, Jr., 73, of Velma passed away Monday, May 15th, 2017 in the Duncan Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Velma Church of Christ with Lyndal Werner officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Hump was born July 8, 1943 at Duncan, Oklahoma the son of Lawrence Denney, Sr. and Jaunita Lawrence Denney. He graduated from the Velma High School, worked in the oil field and as a farmer, enjoyed roping and rodeo and was a member of the church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his two sons John Denney and his wife Caren of Clinton, Oklahoma and Jackie Davis and his wife Kelley of Velma; grandchildren Brady and Dalton Denney of Clinton and Danielle Wilson and Deena Wilson of Velma and a grandson J.D. of Velma.
