Junior Solie

Burnet Junior "Burt" Solie, 86, of Comanche, Oklahoma passed from this life Saturday, August 17, 2024 in the Wilkins Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday in the Western Heights Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Wilson officiating. Interment will follow Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 4-6 PM Wednesday.

Burt was born November 17, 1937 in Crookstone, Minnesota the son of Burnet and Gladys (White) Solie. He and Betty Gordon were married at Comanche, Oklahoma February 28, 1959. He work for Stephens County District 3 as a bridge foreman, enjoyed woodworking, gardening, tinkering, and spending time with his family. He was member of the Western Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters and a granddaughter Micaila Scism.

Survivors include his wife Betty of the home in Comanche, Oklahoma; children Burl Jason Solie and wife Jamie of Okemah, Oklahoma, Burnetta Solie of Comanche, Oklahoma, Belinda Solie and Bobby Hurd of Blanchard, Oklahoma and Blaine Solie and wife Lacy of Duncan, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
