June Vera Woodson

June Vera Woodson, 84, of Duncan passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. Services will be 9:00 AM Friday in the Faith Church with Reverend Wayne Morrow, Reverend David Morrow, Reverend Ron Meador and Reverend Russell Stewart officiating. Interment will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 on Thursday. June was born June 25, 1929 at Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Harold and Vera Elizabeth (Smith) Cottage. She and Reverend Charles "CC" Woodson were married in California in 1955. She loved working as a foster grandparent, spending time with her girlfriends, singing, working puzzles and spending time family. She attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a granddaughter Miranda Faith Powell. Survivors include two daughters Wendy June Hedrick and her husband Lynn, and Beth Nichols and her husband Bobby all of Duncan; her son Tim Woodson of Duncan and his sweetheart Nancy Lepien who she loved as a daughter; a half brother Alvin Cottage of Detroit, Michigan; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Aaron Powell, Eddie Patterson, Jimmy Diehl, Earl Chandler, Zach Brown, Del Harvey, Gary Curtis, Mike Green and Tony Nichols. Online condolences may be made at www.bailespolk.com
