Joseph Lee McClung, 90, of Marlow passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 in the Gregston Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marlow.
Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Alan McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Comanche.
Viewing will begin Monday and the family will receive friends for visitation from 5-7 Tuesday at the funeral home.
Joseph was born June 21, 1928 at Faxon, Oklahoma the son of Charles Madison and Stella (Elmore) McClung. He and Wanda Faye Cook were married at Temple, Oklahoma on June 7, 1947 and she preceded him in death on April 15, 2019. He retired from Sears after 46 years of service, enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing, yard work, watching stock car racing, watching football on tv, listening to the Gather Vocal Group but most of all loved the time he spent with his family. He was also preceded in death by his parents, son Joel Ray McClung, brother Charles Madison, Jr. and sisters Billie and Stella.
Survivors include his son Mark McClung and his wife Mary of Marlow; two sisters Nadine Gibson of Temple, Oklahoma and Jewel Ammons of Wilson, Oklahoma; grandchildren Charles Anthony McClung and his wife Nicole, Joseph Madison McClung, Thomas Edward McClung and his wife Sophia, Jessica Renee McClung and Christopher Watson and his wife Kimberly and their children all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; great grandchildren Taylor Daniele McClung, Kennedy Alyssa McClung and Atlas Edward McClung all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Charles McClung, Joseph McClung, Tommy Edwards, Chuck Gibson, Pat McFerron and Dennis Balsano.
