Jimmy Edward Taylor, 63, of Velma passed away Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at his residence.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the Bailes - Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.
Jimmy was born December 28, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the son of Clifton and Nina Ruth Taylor. He graduated from the Duncan High School in 1973. He and Patty Fullerton were married at Wichita Falls, Texas on March 7, 1974. He worked for many years as a machinist and later retired as a methods analyst for the Halliburton Energy Services. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, riding his motorcycle and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother Charles Taylor and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife Patty Taylor of Velma; his father Clifton Taylor of Duncan; two daughters Shawna Davis of Foster and Jennifer Taylor of Lone Grove; sister Deborah Nichols of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Tesla Taylor, Kyle Hawkins and Jimmy Breeze; and great grandchildren Kasyn Doss, Hadlee Young and Ryker Hawkins.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Hawkins, Jimmy Breeze, Tyler Young, Ronnie McKinnen, Casey Hawkins and Scooter Davis.
