Jerry Doyle Riddle, 78, of Duncan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at his home in Duncan.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday in the New Hope Baptist Church West with Reverend Rick Blackwell officiating and Reverend Randy Southerland assisting. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Jerry was born November 27, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Arley and Golda (Schmidly) Riddle. He graduated from Berryhill High School and received his bachelors degree from South Eastern State University. He and Paula Wollenberg were married in Payne, Oklahoma on June 16, 1962. He worked as an aircraft mechanic and an aircraft mechanic instructor for several years. He also worked many years as an auto mechanic. He served as the pastor of numerous churches and on the mission field with his wife in Jamaica. Also, he served for a time as the director of Youth for Christ in San Francisco, California. He led music in a Baptist Church for ten years. He loved flying, hunting, reading, singing, drinking coffee, and playing games. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church West. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Nicole DeMetrotion.
Survivors include his wife, Paula, of the home in Duncan; three daughters, Jaree DeMetrotion and her husband, Paul, of Farmers Branch, Texas; Leah Colclasure and her husband, Jeff, of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Sharla Brownlee and her husband, Seth, of Fort Worth, Texas; his brother, Jonnie Riddle and his wife, Jolene, of Claremore, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Ellen and Dawson Vosburg, Brett and Cami DeMetrotion, Kaylee DeMetrotion, Luke DeMetrotion, Kade Richard, and Kilee Colclasure.
