Jerry Perkins

August 11, 1946 — March 16, 2024

William Jerry Perkins, 77, of Naples, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, March 16, 2024 at his home in Naples, Florida.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 23 st First Presbyterian Church of Duncan with Rev. Mark Henslee and Melinda Hunt officiating. Graveside interment service will be held at 1:00 PM in the Duncan Cemetery. All are welcome at each service.

Jerry was born August 11, 1946 in Duncan, Oklahoma the son of William "Bill" and Elizabeth (McKinless) Perkins. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1964 and received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University in 1970 where he became a member of Delta Chi fraternity. Jerry was an owner operator in the oil and gas industry. Jerry was active in the Duncan Jaycees, Boy Scouts and Rotary where he was especially proud of his involvement in the youth exchange program. He grew up in the First Christian Church of Duncan where he later served as a Deacon. Jerry was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Duncan and First Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida where he served as an Elder and thoroughly enjoyed attending his men's Bible study group over the last decade. He loved boating on Lake Texoma and in the Gulf of Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Jeanne (Cleino) Perkins of Naples, Florida; children Valerie Elizabeth Perkins of Florence, Italy; Holly Jeanne Perkins Van Vuuren and husband Deon of Naples, Florida; Glynn Cooper of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Edward Scott Darling and wife McKaye of Alexandria, Virginia; Christopher Craddock Darling and wife Emma of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; grandchildren Sofia Morgante, Lidia Morgante, Chloe Van Vuuren, Aniston Darling, Bennett Darling and Campbell Darling.
