Obituary for Jameson LeeJune Payne Jameson (Jimmy/Jamie) LeeJune Payne, beloved Husband, Father, Son, & Brother, died too soon of Covid-19 on August 29, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, at Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan, Oklahoma. To All: He put up one Hell of a Fight! Jimmy was born in Alexandria, Virginia on July 23, 1976, to James H. Payne and Rhonda K. Cordray-Payne. Jameson was born and immediately dubbed "the favorite child"......lol. Jimmy was the only little Brother to a MUCH older sister, Nichole of "whythehelldoyoulivethere", Virginia. In high school Jameson worked at Red Lobster... and knowing his intense love of seafood....that lasted for one day. He then worked as a delivery driver for Rocking Horse Classics, a family business, until he graduated High School. Jameson graduated (much to his mother's great relief) from Garfield High School in Woodbridge, Virginia. He then quickly enlisted in the United States Army as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic. After basic training and specialty training, he was stationed in Lawton, Oklahoma. In 1994, Jimmy was ordered to Fort Sill, Oklahoma where he served the remainder of his four-year enlistment. It was there, in 1994, that Jimmy met his one and only true love, Adrienne Forrester of Duncan, Oklahoma, who became his beloved wife of 25 years. After the Army, Jimmy and Adrienne relocated to the East Coast (around Washington DC), where Jimmy joined the Carpenters and Joiners Union as a Millwright and was fully engaged in large projects both nationally as well as internationally. He once said, "I spent four years in the Army and never left this country" and then he goes to work for his father's company, Tri-Tech International, and ends up going to: France, South America, and Asia! It did not take long before Jimmy decided this line of work was not his lifelong career choice and found an opportunity in Information Technology (IT). Once committed to this new field, he pursued and obtained an IT degree from Strayer University where he graduated from in Virginia. With this new degree, Jimmy quickly became part of a software troubleshooting and upgrade enhancements department at TNS. It is here that he developed a lifelong friendship with Ben. The two of them have resolved many technical challenges and shared many good times. It was not long after his move to the IT field that Jimmy and Adrienne relocated to a 15-acre farm in Duncan, Oklahoma. It was here that they established a beautiful family with two wonderful children, Samantha Taylor Payne and Jameson L. Payne, II., along with his beloved dogs Princess-Sophie-Fuzzy-Britches, Chloe Bear, and Baron. Jimmy, if nothing else, was happy-go-lucky, warm hearted, truly a pussy cat at heart, loyal, a keen observer, a problem-solver extraordinaire, and above all........ a very lovable guy. Jameson was never negative.....unless it came to seafood and traffic! His friend Ben (from work) said he was FOREVER the optimist. Every call he was on, started with a great BIG, "Good Morning!". His positivity touched a lot of people at work and beyond. He loved to post daily Facebook pictures saying, "What a great day in the neighborhood!". Jimmy loved woodworking, reading, his ham radio...... and let's not forget..... bantering about politics! He loved his toys (cars, his truck, motorcycles, and guns). He loved cars so much that he built a dragster which he then conned his Dad into investing in. His racing objectives conjured up visions for his Dad who suddenly saw his Company name "Tri-Tech International" with its purple and white logo on the side of the dragster car........undoubtedly showing up on Nascar someday........ Needless to say, that didn't last long! Jimmy loved the outdoors and riding his tractor around their property (when he could keep it running!). He especially loved gaming with his son Jimmy, watching horror movies with his daughter Sammy and most of all, his favorite time was spent with his family. Jameson's mother Rhonda swears he chose to go before her so he did not have to deal with all of her stuff (inventory from her business)...... Jimmy is definitely wishing good luck to his Sister Nicki and her girls as it will all now fall to them to deal with!! In the end Jamie got over one more time on his sister... Lol To all of his friends and loved ones, Jameson the optimist would definitely be saying, " This too shall pass.......it's all good". Jameson will be deeply missed by his family, many relatives, and many friends who mourn the passing of a loved one who has passed too soon. Jimmy is survived by his wife Adrienne, his two children, daughter, Samantha Taylor and his son, Jameson LeeJune, II, his sister Nichole Payne, as well as his parents James H. and Rhonda K. Payne, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws, to mention a few. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff at Duncan Hospital.
