OBITUARY James Rosenthal (Robert) Harvey was born March 16, 1925, to the late William L. Harvey and Lelia Jones Harvey of Vossburg, Mississippi. He was baptized at the St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be 11:00 AM Friday in the Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Melvin Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Oil Springs Cemetery, Tatums, Oklahoma under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. On February 3, 1943 at the tender age of eighteen, he enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country in World War II, The Korean Conflict and two tours of duty in Vietnam. After retirement he made his home in Duncan, OK, continuing his employment with C&Y Casing and Jiffy Convenience Store Manager. On December 21, 1994 he was graciously recognized by the Duncan Chamber of Commerce as "Someone You Should Know" for his "community garden", which was planted to feed the needy. He loved animals and acquired a variety of "pets" to include, peacocks, emus, chickens, ducks, rabbits, quail and possums; just to name a few. He lived to serve the community and could be seen daily on his tractor or his riding mower. His generosity did not end there but extended to those in need of financial assistance, which always came with a dose of "reality and wisdom". He was a true soldier, a warrior, until the very end of this life. He leaves to cherish his memories, four daughters, Lois Paige and Barbara Benson (Robert) of Duncan, OK., Cynthia Harvey of Tatums, OK., and Sherry Harvey-Tuley (Donny) of Oklahoma City, OK; Three sons, James Averiett (Dena) of Duncan, OK., Micheal Harvey of Wynnewood, OK., and Antonio Jones of Tatums, OK.; One sister and one brother, Gloria Marshall of Jackson, Mississippi and Gene Alton Harvey of Colorado Springs, Co.; Eight Grandchildren, Corey, Destiny, Christopher, Xavier, Jamor, Katara, Davetta and Ikeia; Twenty-One Great Grandchildren and three Great, Great, Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and life long friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James Robert Harvey, Jr.; One Grandson, Mario Valentino Brooks; One sister, Rosie Marie and six brothers, Vincent, Wendell, Lorenze, Warren, Charles and John. Pallbearers will be Antonio Jones, Christopher Harvey, Xavier Paige, Jamor Williams, Terry Breath and Amos Sweeden,
