Jackie Darlene Downey

Jackie Darlene Downey, 74, of Velma passed away Wednesday, June10, 2020 at her home in Velma.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday in the Velma Assembly of God Church with Reverend Travis Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the New Velma Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Viewing will be from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday in the Velma Assembly of God Church.

Jackie was born May 21,1946 in Duncan, Oklahoma the daughter of Jack and Billye Jean Ellis. She and John Wild were married in Ada Oklahoma in 1961 and she later married Connie Charles Downey in Duncan, Oklahoma on December 31, 1976 and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2008. She worked at the Wilkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and was a licensed beautician. She enjoyed mowing the yard and working in her flower garden. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her children John Wild and wife Jennifer of Sanger, Texas, Jimmy Wild and wife Tresa of Wynnewood, Oklahoma and Jennifer Detec and husband Mark of Kissimmee, Florida; grandchildren Jacklyn Wild, Carrie Wild, Chase Wild, Shelby Wild, Ashleigh Wild, Matt Wild and Xander Detec; great grandchildren Carson Meade, Bryden Meade and Journey Meade and sisters Myrna Files and husband Harley and Jaydena Adcox and husband Mike all of Velma.

Grandsons and brothers-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
