Jack Leroy Helms

Jack LeRoy Helms, 66, of Duncan passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in te Gospel Beams Church with Reverend Ray Leadbetter officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Comanche under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Friday. Jack was born September 27, 1947 at Hollis, Oklahoma the son of Grover and Cora (Mouser Helm. He and Sandra Poche were married at Shreveport, Louisiana May 4, 1989. He enjoyed reading and fishing but his greatest love was spending time with his family. He was a member of the Gospel Beams Church. He was preceded in death by his parents , a brother, two sisters and two infant siblings. Survivors include his wife Sandra of the home in Duncan, his son Jackie "Bull Dog" Helms, Jr of Duncan; three daughters Nichole Glenn, Samantha Hill and Meagan Jones all of Duncan; 2 brothers Delbert Helms of Ola, Arkansas; two sisters Patricia Hewett of Honey Grove, Texas and Juanita Blair of Alice, Texas; eight grandchildren and two on the way. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Shipman, Byrd, Bull Dog, Billy Jones, Salomon Perales and Jonathan Helms. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Glenn and Garrett Glenn.
