Ina J. Thacker

Ina Jenelle Thacker, 83, of Loco passed away Thursday, September 12th, 2019 in the Wilkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2019 in the Velma Church of Christ with Reverend Roger Sims officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Ina was born June 26, 1936 Southwest of Velma, Oklahoma the daughter of Samuel Wesley and Ila (McClanahan) Rowe. She and Clinton Thacker were married August 27, 1985 at Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her in death on February 18 2005. She worked many years as a rural mail carrier, she love animals and would often bring home injured animals and nurse them back to health. She love her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them. She was a member of the Alma Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Mark Griffith and grandson Dwight Griffith.

Survivors include her son Jame E. Griffith and his wife Sheila of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; grandson Justin Griffith and granddaughters Melissa (Griffith) Parrish and Allison Griffith.
