Hayden Dillard

Hayden Dillard, 90, a long time Duncan resident passed away Monday, July1, 2013 at his home in Duncan. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday in the Duncan Cemetery with Reverend Tracy Wilson officiating. Hayden was born April 7, 1923 at Waurika, Oklahoma the son of Boyce and Thelma (Roden) Dillard. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1941and was active in all sports during his high school years. One of his best events was the low hurdles in track. He served in the United States Navy Seebeas during World War II and was stationed at Newfoundland and in the South Pacific. He later attended Dental school at the Kansas City University graduating in 1951. He returned to Duncan and opened his dental practice. He and Maggie Jean Young were married June 20, 1952 and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2008. Hayden was active in all Dental meetings and activities until his retirement serving for many years on the Oklahoma Dental Board. He also loved to hunt, fish and pick pecans.
