Harold Rae DeHart, 88, of Duncan passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his home in Duncan. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Garden Cemetery. Harold was born May 4, 1932 in Alex, Oklahoma the son of Harold Hardy and Lorena (White) DeHart. He and Hatty Worbes were married December 16, 1950 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He served four years in the United States Air Force on the 63rd Troop Carrier Wing and sixteen years in the Reserve. He owned and operated Southwest Metal and Roofing for thirty years and he owned the Fixed Base Operations of the Duncan Municipal Airport for many years and he was a pilot for 21 years. He enjoyed flying his Bellanca and Piper Airplanes and loved restoring and collecting classic cars. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marjorie. Survivors include his wife Hattie DeHart of the home in Duncan, Oklahoma; children Kathy Suzanne Lawrence and husband Rick of Aledo, Texas and son Duane Rae DeHart and wife Emily A. of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Russell Lee Lawrence and wife Stephanie of Weatherford, Texas, Robert Ladd Lawrence and wife Kristyn of Sherman, Texas and Brennan Anderson DeHart of Plano, Texas; great grandchildren Reece Logan Lawrence, Madison Hope Lawrence, Rhett Levi Lawrence and Rodney Lambert Lawrence and four brothers and sisters Joyce Johnston, Sue Manley, Charles DeHart and Linda Sanford.
