George Henry Twigg

George Henry Twigg, 73, of Duncan passed away Sunday, April 29th, 2012 in the Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. Service will be 11:00 AM Friday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home with Reverend Tracy Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Stephens County Combined Honors Team and escort provided by the Patriot Guard. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday. George was born February 5, 1939 in Rockford, Illinois the son of Arthur and Caroline (Eicksteadt) Twigg. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He and Dona Adams-Thomasson were married December 6, 1973 at Lawton, Oklahoma. He was truck Driver and worked for the Sanner Pipe and Salvage Company in Velma. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and five infant siblings. Survivors include his wife Dona of the home in Duncan; two sons Hoil Thomasson of Dill City, Ok and Micheal Twigg of Duncan; four daughters Rebecca Twigg of Duncan, Robynn Ingersoll of Rockford, Illinois, Kim Murdock of Belvidere, Illinois and Crystal Cook of Duncan; a sister Linda Porter of Missouri; and fifteen grandchildren.
