Bailes-Polk Funeral Home 910 W. Oak Duncan, Oklahoma 73533 (580) 255-5252 Freddy R. Davis, 66, of Duncan passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 in the Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. Services will be 1:00 PM Monday in the First Baptist Church with Reverend Dale Howery officiating. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 2 - 4 PM on Sunday. Freddy was born April 19, 1943 at Del Norte, Colorado the son of Howard W. And Mary Doris Ketchum Davis. He came to Duncan as a child and graduated from the Duncan High School in 1961. He and Barbara Cox were married at Duncan, Oklahoma on July 6, 1990. He owned and operated Davis Electric for over 32 years. He was a member of the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church of Southern Oklahoma. He was a long time member of the Moose Lodge, Walters Roundup Club, Red Red Rose, Duncan High School Quarterback Club, National Riffle Association, Chisholm Trail Stampede PRCA Rodeo Committee and served two terms on the Stephens County Fair Board. He loved fishing, hunting, photography and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jane Slaughter. Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home in Duncan; two sons Brent Wayne Davis and his wife Carolyn and Deral Kevin Davis and his wife Syvonna all of Duncan; two daughters Cheryl Montgomery of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Cindy Diane Robinson and her husband Joe of Bray; a brother Nathan Howard Davis of Great Bend, Kansas; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Bill Black, Bill Crowdis, Johnny Freeman, Jimmy Bishop, Mike Rives, Butch Lawson, Mike Moore and Scott Kennedy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Freddy Davis Memorial Fund Account #200913 at the First Bank and Trust.
