Esther Belle Rowley

Esther B. Rowley, 88, of Duncan, Oklahoma a former longtime Canadian, Texas resident passed away Monday, December 19th, 2016 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 9:00 AM Friday in the Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Taylor officiating. Interment service will be 3:30 PM in the Edith Ford Cemetery at Canadian, Texas under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday. Esther was born June 17, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of James and Laurine (Conus) Jackson. She and Ervin Rowley were married at Kansas City, Missouri on November 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1992. She work for over 30 years as a nurse and after her retirement from nursing she worked as a door greater at Walmart for 18 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, doing ceramics and crafts in general. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, a brother and three grandchildren. Survivors include three sons Bob Rowley and his wife Gale of Wheeler, Texas, Dean Rowley and his wife Cathy of San Antonio, Texas and Johnny Rowley and his wife Donna of Duncan, Oklahoma; a brother Robert Jackson and his wife Gail of Lubbock, Texas; ten grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
