Elbert Olan Price

Elbert Olan Price, 78, of Comanche passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Roskam officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Comanche. Elbert was born April 23, 1935 at Anadarko, Oklahoma the son of Henry Marvin and Dulcie Elizabeth (Holman) Price. He graduated from the Empire High School in 1955. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961. He and Virginia Ruth Payne were married at Caruthers, California on March 8, 1958. He retired from Halliburton Services in 1987 where he had worked in the manufacturing department. He also worked as a lineman for the Duncan Power and Light. We was an avid collector and especially loved collecting Zippo lighters. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife Virginia of the home; two son Garrey B. Price of Alameda, California and Danny A. Price of Weatherford, Oklahoma; a daughter Kimberly S. Price of Comanche, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Noelle L. Price, Shae Patterson, Erin E. Price, Tyler B. Price, Lucette R. Price and Mason T. Price; two great grandchildren Destiny M. Price and Haydin R. Price; two brothers Henry Price and Thelbert Price; a sister Dorothy Mayes as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
