Dorothy Juanita Mayes

Dorothy Juanita (Price) Mayes, 80, of Duncan passed away Saturday, April 27th, 2019 in the Duncan Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday in the Western Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Comanche under the directions of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born June 3, 1938 at Duncan, Oklahoma the daughter of Henry Marvin and Dulcie Elizabeth Lucerne (Holman) Price. She and William Douglas (Doug) Mayes were married at Lawton, Oklahoma on March 23, 1956 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2006. She worked many years for the Hagar Company, Duncan Regional Hospital and Loves in Duncan. She loved traveling especially in the fall, spending time with her family and her dog Fancy and was a member of the Western Heights Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, 4 sisters, daughter Ginger, son Jeffery, a grandson, 2 great grandchildren, son-in-law Greg Gilmore and daughter-in-law Susan Mayes.

Survivors include sons David Reynolds and his wife Kathy of Granbury, Texas, Terry Glen Mayes of Comanche, Randal Douglas Mayes of Duncan and Michael Mayes and his wife Sara of Comanche; her daughter Carol Ann Demaray and her husband Jeff of Vacaville, California; 30 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Pall bearers will be Mark Ryder, Greg Demaray, David Reynolds, II, Daniel Reynolds, Grant Daniel and Caleb Cothren.
