Dorothy Ellen Scott

Dorothy Ellen Scott went to be with the Lord and reunite with the love of her life, Adrian, on Nov. 24, 2016. She was born Dorothy Johnson on Oct. 14, 1926, to George and Ida Johnson in Geronimo, Oklahoma, one of 15 children. She and Adrian married in Duncan, Oklahoma, on Jan. 14, 1945, and lived in Duncan until moving to Amarillo, Texas in 2001 to help with quintuplet great-grandchildren. Adrian passed from this life in December 2010. Dorothy then developed Alzheimer's-Dementia. She worked part time in Ladies Apparel until she retired. She was also a wonderful homemaker and fabulous cook. Three years ago, she moved to Springdale, Arkansas, to be close to her son, Gary and his family, and to live out the rest of her days. She loved her family and friends deeply, and the feelings were mutual. Even in her last days she still had a beautiful smile. She is survived by her son, Gary Scott and wife, Pat of Springdale, Arkansas; daughter, Beverly Boerstler and husband, Harold, of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, Leah Williams, of Amarillo, Kerri McDaniel and husband, Mitch, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Christie Boerstler, of Odessa, Texas and Kyle Scott and wife, Nicole of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; 11 great-grandchildren, Brady Barber, Adrianne McDaniel, Kylie Scott, Cody and Libbey Wood and Dorrieann, Aidan, Dixon, Ethan, Mattisan and Garrett Williams. She will truly be missed, but we know we will see her again soon, and she will recognize us again and will again be able to call us all by name. She has been freed of this debilitating and dreadful disease that we all fear. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Circle of Life Hospice 901 Jones Rd Springdale, AR 72762. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens on North Highway 81 in Duncan.
