Doris Juhree Sherrill

Doris Juhree Sherrill, 85, of Duncan passed away Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 in the Gregston Nursing Center in Marlow, Oklahoma. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday in the Bailes - Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Franks officiating. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Thursday. Doris was born October 10, 1928 the daughter of Virgil Everett and Myrtle Kathryn (Hunt) Franks. She and William Elbert Sherrill II were married at Duncan, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2004. She returned to Duncan in 1983 from Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Western Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and attended the Highland Park Baptist Church in Duncan. She retired from TG & Y in 1983, was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sister and a son Gregory Sherrill. Survivors include two sons William E. "Bill" Sherrill III and his wife Beth of Muskogee, Oklahoma and CSM (Ret) James M. Sherrill and his wife Dale of Kempner, Texas; five grandchildren Heidi Phillips of Copperas Cove, Texas, Heather Schwartz of Weatherford, Oklahoma, SSG James W. Sherrill of Johnston, Iowa, Steven Sherrill of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Jon Sherrill of Nolanville, Texas; five great grandchildren Lillie Beth Sherrill, Isaac Sherrill, Kylen Phillips, Charlie Van Sherrill and Karsten Sherrill; a sister Frankie Franks of Duncan and a brother Jack Franks of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be SSG James W. Sherrill, Jon Sherrill, Steven Sherrill, Brandon Schwarts, Mike Zawicki and Bobby Franks. Online condolences may be made at www.bailespolk.com
