Dickie Sr. was of Pentecostal faith. He loved spending time with his wife Vickie and their 6 children Veronica, Brandy, Cecelia, Heather, Dickie Jr., and Cheyenne while going for walks, riding bikes, playing games, riding go-carts, going camping, and having cookouts at the lake. He loves going bull frog hunting with his kids and Father-in-law Robert. He enjoyed dressing up as Santa for his children and also his grandchildren. He loved putting up Christmas lights and all kinds of decorations on the house and in the yard, one of his children's best memories. He would make Halloween costumes for his children which would put a smile on his face. He loved to sing with his family and dance sometimes just out of nowhere. One of his favorite songs was Flying Higher Than I've Ever Been by Vern Jackson. He danced on the American Band Stand when he was younger with Aretha Franklin. Another thing he loved to do to make people laugh was his 'bitter beer' face. He loved his wife, children, son-in laws, and grandchildren and was very proud of them.
He helped his Dad, Billie, on Commercial Construction Carpenter for Exal Construction Company. He worked at a factory with his Father-in-law Robert. He worked on small engine repairs with his brother Donnie. He worked at McDaniel Firestone.
