Deborah L. Kaspereit

December 29, 1951 — July 5, 2022

In a manner befitting of her faith, Deborah L. Kaspereit gained her independence from this life and her eternal freedom in Heaven over fourth of July weekend. She graduated from this life on July 5, 2022, in Ada, Oklahoma.

Deborah "Marmy" Kaspereit was born in McAllister Oklahoma to Reverend Kenneth Williams and Ida Mae Gabbard Williams on December 29, 1951. Deborah spent her formative years traveling with family wherever her father was called.

Deborah gained forever friends from various Oklahoma towns. If you called her "Debbie" she knew you were a Velma Alma Comet. She graduated from Chandler High School in Chandler Oklahoma and went on to attend and graduate from Oklahoma Baptist University.

Deborah's family ended up moving to Duncan where her Father was Pastor at Parkview Baptist Church. During her time in Duncan, Deborah got to live out her great love story when she met and married her husband of forty-four years, David Kaspereit. She and David are the parents of three children, Matthew, Aaron, and Sarah.

Deborah was a charter member of the Singing Church Women of Oklahoma with whom she traveled across the world to sing. Deborah was always an active member of her local church choir and enjoyed singing solos and praising God through song.

She considered Duncan First Baptist as her "home church" but she loved her current church family of First Baptist in Fitzhugh, Oklahoma.

She was a self-sacrificing woman stepping in as Duncan's High School Drama and Debate coach when their coach fell terminally ill. She is still beloved by her students who still refer to her as "Mama K."

She enjoyed being a cook for Duncan First whether cooking for special events at the church or traveling to church camps during the Summer. Deborah loved the women she served with even referring to their little group as the "Cookies." Along with cooking for her church, Deborah often planned and decorated the venue herself.

Deborah resided in Fitzhugh Oklahoma where she enjoyed sitting on her family's deck often sharing tears and laughs.

If you were loved by Deborah, you were prayed for and loved fiercely. Deborah's ability to love fiercely came from her great love for her Lord and Savior.

Deborah overcame a great deal during her lifetime from surviving breast cancer, recovering from a broken femur, surviving a massive heart attack and cardiac arrest, and surviving a stroke. Deborah's faith and constant positive attitude through adversity spoke to all those around her.

Deborah enjoyed spending time with her fur babies Cameo and Sally and even her children's animals referring to them as her "grand fur babies."

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Williams and Ida Mae Williams, her father-in-law James Kaspereit and mother-in-law Annie Kaspereit and her granddaughter Elizabeth Kaspereit.

She is survived by her husband David Kaspereit of Fitzhugh Oklahoma, son Matthew Kaspereit and his wife Amy and her grandson-in-love Ruff Duke of Duncan, Oklahoma, son Aaron Kaspereit of Hurst,

Texas, and daughter Sarah Kaspereit of Byng, Oklahoma. She is also survived by sister Evelyn Lyon and her husband Robert of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, sister Freda Pierce and her husband Gregory of Fitzhugh, Oklahoma, brother Kenneth Lynn Williams of Ada, Oklahoma and Steve Murray and his wife Christy of Ada, Oklahoma. Deborah is also survived by her best forever friend Jane Bridges and her husband Charles of Chandler, Oklahoma.

Family visitation and viewing will take place on Friday July 8th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Bailes-Polk Funeral home in Duncan, Oklahoma with her homecoming service to follow on Saturday July 9th at Duncan First Baptist Church at 10:00am in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Deborah had three requests when she went home to Heaven; sing songs of praise at her service, in lieu of flowers make donations to the Oklahoma Baptist Foundation now known as Waters Edge or contribute to your local church's music ministry, and everyone must wear her favorite color red.

"Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
