Bessie Lynn (Briscoe) Perez

Born June 1, 1959 in Charleston, West Virginia to William Lee and Barbara Louise Briscoe and presented to two older siblings who eventually came to love her very much..

After being drafted into this military family she was moved quickly to her first duty station as a newborn to Clovis, New Mexico. Arriving by train, her mother and siblings set up residence in anticipation of her father returning from duty in Japan.

Later at the ripe age of 5, life would take her to Chateauroux, France where she disclosed to her mother that the people there talked funny.

Ogden, Utah to Maysville, Oklahoma and then finally Oklahoma City would wrap up her nomadic life with mom and dad.

She graduated in 1978 from Putnam City High School. .

After marriage, she lived for a time in Midland, Texas and Mustang, Oklahoma. Her final move was to Comanche where she raised six children as a beautiful, funny, resilient single mom. .

Bessie was a manager for Pizza Hut for many years and later worked at Duncan Regional Hospital. Once retired her active spirit took her to part time work at Dollar General and Lawton Auto Auction.

Bessie enjoyed baking and was talented enough to create beautifully delicious wedding cakes. Her garage sale and thrift store shopping resulted in thoughtful gifts to friends and family. But her favorite way to pass time was taking trips with her children.

Bessie was not religious but was spiritual and was confident in where she would spend eternity.

Preceded in death by both parents, their baby has returned to their arms.

She is survived by sons, Rick Perez, Jr of Virginia, William Perez of Oklahoma City, Christian Perez of Duncan, Ridge Perez of Duncan and daughters Cristilynne Rimmer and husband Brandon of Altus, Oklahoma and Jeniferdiane Nolasco of Florida. Eight grandchildren. Sister Vedia Ming and husband Don of Tuttle, Oklahoma and brother Kenneth Briscoe and wife Rhonda of Sachse, Texas.

A memorial service will be held On Monday August 7th at 11:00 Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan.
