Bella Jo Waldroup

Bella Jo Waldroup, 83, of Velma passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Velma Church of Christ with Lyndal Werner officiating. Interment will be in the New Velma Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Duncan from 6-8 PM on Friday. Jo was born February 22nd, 1929 at Stonewall, Oklahoma the daughter of John William and Ora France. She graduated from the Stonewall High School. She and Charles Waldroup were married June 9, 1946 at Ada, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death February 9, 1997. She spent many years working in the Velma Flower Shop and worked until her retirement for the Brook and then Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Velma. She was also Preceded in death by her parents, a sister Dana Coy and a brother Alfred France. She is survived by her three children Larry Waldroup and his wife Donna of Duncan, Nancy Barney and her husband Nick of Velma and Allan Waldroup and his wife Brandi of Duncan; Grandchildren JoAnn Ille and her husband Jason;Jason Waldroup, Julie Case and her husband Josh, Krissie Gordon and her husband Andy, Chad Cowan and his wife Jenny, Will Waldroup, Marli Barney, Zac Waldroup, McKinzie Waldroup and Allison Waldroup; great grandchildren Tyler Case, Taylor Case, Dylan Gordon, Colt Gordon, Strait Ille, Shain Ille, Gracie Cowan and Sadie Cowan. Pallbearers will be Jason Waldroup, Chad Cowan, Will Waldroup, Zac Waldroup, Tyler Case and Gary Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dylan Gordon, Colt Gordon, Strait Ille and Taylor Case.
