Virginia Cox

Virginia Louise Cox, 87, of Duncan passed away Sunday, January 26th, 2020 in the Country Club Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday in the Bethesda Church of God with Reverend Harold Metheny officiating and Reverend Johnnie Gray assisting. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends for visitation a the funeral home on Friday from 6-9 PM.

Virginia was born September 19, 1932 at Howe, Oklahoma the daughter of Huefford Joseph and Clara Etta (Billings) Wynn. She married Gilbert Sidney Terry and he preceded her in death. She later married Frank Irvin and preceded her in death. She and Thomas "Red" Henry Cox were married at Comanche, Oklahoma on November 3, 1984 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2019. She graduated from the Paramount High School at Paramount, California in 1948. She worked as a secretary and was a faithful member of the Bethesda Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting, needle crafts, dancing, loved to eat out and loved to be active in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Linda and Sue, brothers Larry and Udell and sister Neva.

Survivors include her children Floyd Terry and wife Karen of Arlington, Texas, Marcia Barnett and husband David of Velma, Randy Terry and wife Pam of Amber, Oklahoma, Samuel David Irvin of Ft. Worth, Texas, Arlan Wayne Cox and wife Peggy of Crowder, Oklahoma, Vickie Gildon and husband David of Comanche and Angela Brown and husband Jeff of Yukon, Oklahoma; sisters Shirley Gann of Urbana, Illinois and Marlene Lessard and husband Bill of Whittier, California; sister-in-law Pat Wynn of Bakersfield, California; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two special adopted family Carolyn Phillips and Tammy Clary.

Pallbearers will be David Wilburn, Jackie Wilburn, Danny Fletcher, Tony Fletcher, Heith Terry, Shannon Irvin, Lonnie White.
