Virginia Bernice Carpenter

Virginia Bernice Carpenter of Denton, Texas a former longtime Duncan resident past away February 23, 2018 in the Cottonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 on Friday.

Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Bowen officiating. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the Direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Virginia was born April 27, 1924 at Duncan, Oklahoma the daughter of Edgar Thomas and Beulah (Odom) Graham. she and Clarence ET Carpenter were married February 27, 1946 at Duncan, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1979. She enjoyed raising roses, sewing, reading, spending time with her family and she was impossible to beat at skipbo. She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brother, three sisters and her son Alvin Carpenter.

Survivors include two sons Clarence Carpenter of Decator, Texas and Michael Carpenter of Dacono, Colorado; her brother Dee Wayne Graham of Duncan, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
