Velta Pauline Jennings

Velta Pauline "Polly" Jennings, 84, of Duncan passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in the Duncan regional Hospital. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel. Interment services will be 3:30 PM Monday in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Odessa, Texas. Polly was born March 10, 1931 at Velma, Oklahoma the Daughter of Elisha Lee and Ina Pearl (McKelvin) Duval. She and Robert Dale Jennings were married July 2, 1951 at Hennerita, Texas and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1983. Polly was a loving and giving person that always gave to those in need. Polly was also member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and worked with the Meals on Wheels Program. She enjoyed playing slots, crocheting, quilting, embroidery and family visits. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Bobby J., daughter Rolana Womack, granddaughter Cassie Hoover, grandsons Duane Womack and Jason Morgan, two sisters and a brother. Survivors include her daughters Jan Johnson and her husband Wendell of Duncan and Quetsa Morgan and her husband Gary of Quilan, Texas; Son Rodney Jennings of Odessa, Texas; brothers Jerry Duvall and his wife Shirley of Duncan and Eddie Duval and his wife Donna of Loco; sisters Mary Downey of Duncan, Ruth Theriot of Shreveport, Louisiana, Vera Serrate of Duncan, Frances Wilson of Odessa, Texas, Evelyn Hunter of Petersburg, Michigan and Jessie Gorbet of Davis, Ok; Eight Grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
