Richard Towell

Richard D. Towell, 70, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed from this life Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his home in Duncan surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday in the Duncan Cemetery with Reverend John Haynes officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 5-7 PM on Friday.

Richard was born March 12, 1953 in Duncan, Oklahoma the son of David Leon and Betty Lou (Pollock) Towell. He graduated from the Duncan High School in 1971. He and Lana Sue Morris were married in Duncan, Oklahoma on May 15, 1975. He retired from Halliburton Energy Services after 42 years of service as a machinist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, astronomy, metal detecting, racing RC cars and listening and playing music. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Lana Towell of the home in Duncan, Oklahoma; daughters April Dawn Templer and husband Quinton and Audra Leigh Maytubby all of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Nathan Maytubby, Matthew Maytubby, Abigail Templer, Kayleigh Colbert and Simon Templer and his brother Tony Mark Towell and his wife Gina of Wichita, Kansas.
