Retha Susanne (Johnson) Hart, age 63, of Duncan went home to our Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The legacy she left behind will forever be etched into the hearts and minds of those she loved.

Memorial services will be at 1:00PM Friday, March 15, 2024 in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Ladd Polk officiating.

Retha was born June 4, 1960 in San Jose, California, the daughter of Denver Lee Johnson and Lillie Marie (Kennedy) Couch.

Retha was a devoted mother and Memaw to her children and grandchildren; nothing made her happier in life than her family. She worked as a waitress at Wright's Steakhouse for many years. She was well-loved by everyone she knew, always spreading an air of beautiful positivity wherever she went. She had a generous heart and found enjoyment in taking care of others. Retha was known for her love of coffee and was always quick to share a cup with anyone.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Those left to cherish Retha's memory include her children Benny Benitez of Florida, Kelly Benitez of Florida, Brandon Hart of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Brooke Shults and husband Charles of Velma, Oklahoma; siblings Sharon Allen of Mississippi, Denise Johnson of Duncan, Oklahoma, Annette Geil of Duncan, Oklahoma and Laura Johnson of Mississippi; half siblings Gary Johnson, Aaron Johnson and Linda Lambert all of Georgia; as well as eleven grandchildren.
